1. About MÁADÁN

MÁADÁN is an African botanical skincare brand made in Lagos, Nigeria. We formulate and sell body and skincare products, including shea body butters, cold-pressed baobab oil, and traditional black soap, through this Site and through a small network of stockists across Lagos, Abuja, and Accra.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order on the Site. If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and current information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account, and you should notify us immediately at hello@maadanofficial.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Products & Descriptions

We describe our products as accurately as possible, but because our ingredients are natural and many products are handmade in small batches, slight variations in colour, texture, and scent between batches are normal and not a defect. Product images are for illustration and may differ slightly from the item received.

Our products are cosmetic skincare items, not medicines, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. We recommend performing a patch test before first use and discontinuing use if irritation occurs. If you have a known allergy, sensitive skin, or a medical condition, please review the ingredient list carefully or consult a healthcare professional before use.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices on the Site are listed in the currency shown at checkout and are subject to change without notice. We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct, but if a pricing error occurs, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and issue a refund. Payments are processed securely through Paystack. We do not collect or store your full card or bank details, these are handled directly by our payment processor in line with its own security standards.

5. Orders & Order Acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline. An order is only confirmed once you receive an order confirmation from us. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order. For example, in cases of suspected fraud, pricing or stock errors, or if we are unable to verify or obtain payment. Where an order is cancelled after payment, we will issue a full refund via your original payment method.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are fulfilled and delivered through our logistics partner, ShipBubble. Delivery timeframes shown at checkout are estimates and not guaranteed, and may be affected by your location, courier availability, or events outside our control. Risk of loss and title to products pass to you once an order is handed to the delivery carrier. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address; we are not liable for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect address details.

7. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Because our products are cosmetic and hygiene-sensitive, opened or used items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty, damaged, or incorrect. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, please contact us at hello@maadanofficial.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the item received, and we will arrange a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take a few business days to reflect, depending on your bank or Paystack processing times.

8. Stockists & Third-Party Retailers

MÁADÁN products are also sold in person through independent stockists listed on our Stockists page. These are separate businesses, and purchases made in their stores are subject to that stockist's own policies, including their own returns and payment terms. We are not responsible for the practices of independent stockists.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's account;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site's security or functionality;
• Use automated means to scrape, copy, or extract content from the Site without our written permission; or
• Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information, including in relation to orders or payments.

10. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, including the MÁADÁN name and logo, product photography, text, and design, are the property of MÁADÁN or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MÁADÁN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MÁADÁN harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
